Cookies Policy

Last updated: 4 May 2026

This document sets out the rules governing the use of cookies on the website operated by Cogito Realizacje Sp. z o.o. The information complements the provisions of the Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files saved on the user's end-device (computer, telephone, tablet) when using websites. They usually contain the name of the website, the storage period and a unique identifier. Cookies allow the website to "recognise" the user on a subsequent visit and to retain his or her preferences.

2. What data we store on the user's device

The Cogito Realizacje website does not store cookies on the user's device in the strict, technical sense. To remember the user's essential preferences, the website uses exclusively the browser's local storage mechanism (localStorage) — functional (essential) data stored locally on the end-device. We do not use cookies, nor any analytics, advertising or third-party data. In the remainder of this document, the term "cookies" also covers data stored in local storage — such data is subject to the same legal rules governing information stored on the user's end-device.

Name Mechanism Purpose Retention period
cogito_cookies_v1 localStorage
(essential)
Storing the user's decision made in the cookie information banner, so that it is not displayed again on every visit. until deleted by the user — localStorage data has no defined expiry date
cogito_lang localStorage
(essential)
Storing the language version of the website chosen by the user (PL / EN / UA / RU). until deleted by the user

No third-party cookies. The website does not use tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or any other tracking scripts. Your activity on the website is not profiled, nor is it shared with external entities for marketing purposes.

3. Legal basis

The use of functional cookies does not require the user's consent — in accordance with Art. 398(4) of the Act of 12 July 2024 — Electronic Communications Act (Polish Journal of Laws 2024, item 1221, as amended), cookies necessary for the provision of an electronically supplied service may be used without consent. Should analytics or marketing cookies be introduced in the future, the Controller will use them only after obtaining separate, explicit and freely given consent from the user, expressed through an active action (in accordance with Art. 7 GDPR).

4. External services loaded on the website

The website uses one external technical service that does not set cookies but does involve the transfer of technical data (including IP address) to an external entity:

Provider Purpose Scope of data Legal basis
Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) Loading typefaces (Inter, Instrument Serif, JetBrains Mono) used to display the content of the website in line with its visual identity. IP address, browser identifier (user-agent), device information — transferred directly to Google servers each time the page is opened. Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller in ensuring consistent and legible presentation of content.

Google Fonts does not set cookies in the user's browser. Google states that the technical data processed in connection with this service is not used for profiling, advertising or linking to other Google services. Details: developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.

A user who does not wish his or her IP address to be transferred to Google may block the loading of external resources in the browser settings or by using extensions such as uBlock Origin / NoScript. Disabling the loading of typefaces does not affect the functionality of the website — content will be displayed using system fallback fonts.

The Controller is considering migrating the typefaces to self-hosting (local hosting), which would entirely eliminate the transfer of data to Google.

5. Managing cookies in the browser

Every user may, at any time, change the cookie settings in his or her web browser, including blocking or deleting cookies. Below are links to instructions for the most popular browsers:

Blocking functional cookies may affect the operation of certain elements of the website (e.g. the cookie banner will be displayed on every visit).

6. Withdrawal of consent

To withdraw consent to functional cookies or to delete any cookies already stored, the user should:

  1. delete the website data — including cookies and local storage data (localStorage) — in the browser settings (in accordance with the instructions above);
  2. on the next visit to the website, make the preference selection again in the displayed banner.

7. Changes to the Cookies Policy

The Controller reserves the right to amend this Policy in the event of changes in applicable law, technology or the scope of tools used. The current version is published on the website with the date of the last update indicated at the beginning of the document.

Language versions. If there is any inconsistency between the Polish version of this document and its translation into another language, the Polish version shall prevail. Translations are provided for informational purposes only.
